China Movie Review: Zhou Yu's Train

Watched Zhou Yu's Train starring Gong Li and Tong Leung on VCD over the weekend. It's a romance story in an old, ugly and dirty industrial city. But raises a Derrida type question: you love the person or the concept of the person you have?

Yesterday's printed edition of Sunday New York Times had a huge ad. on Zhang Yimou's big budget and 5-star cast Hero - the most talked about movie in China somewhile ago. Looks like it has finally arrived North America. Will probably go watch it on big screen.
