Anson Chan Blogs Her Political Views

Anson Chan, who is dubbed as conscience of Hong Kong and rumored to be running for the next Hong Kong Chief Executive elections has started blogging and will be doing so in the next couple of days on RTHK's Civil Society program, to express her political views.

Below is a rough translation of one part of her message titled July 1st March.

"In the past two days, the media has seemed to place its focus on my personal political stance. I want to stress that this is not my personal show. Democracy belongs to everyone. We should look at how to unit all stratas of people in the society and express our wishes for democracy as well as universal suffrage through peaceful and rational means, and thereby persuade the Special Adminstration Regime government and the Central government to provide a more pro-active response to constitutional reforms."
